Behavoral Conditioning:

Public Places

This dog has been taken all about the city of Indianapolis, and is ready to go out on the town with you, too!

Body Handling

What does this even mean? It means the dog has been well conditioned to be handled. They're used to being picked up, played with, and having her little face smooshed.

Regular Grooming

Grooming won't be a hassle - they've been conditioned to be calm during nail trims, brushing, and baths.

No Begging

I don't care how delicious your food is! This dog has been taught not to beg, and shouldn't give you creepy looks while you enjoy your dinner.

Basic Manners

Generally, just don't be jerk! This dog has been trained to have excellent manners, even when they're excited.

Socialized with Animals

This dog has grown up around other dogs AND cats, and has always been taught to be mindful with her four-legged cousins.

No Rude Barking

A little "boof" now and then is fine, but more than that? Naw. This dog has been trained not to continue barking after you've told them not to.

Socialized with Kids

Though I never recommend leaving kids and dogs alone, this dog has been socialized with children so they know how to greet and play kindly.

About Charlotte

If a literal ray of sunshine was a dog, it would be Charlotte! She loves living life, but especially loves pleasing her humans and making friends with every creature she encounters. Even my grumpy old dog, Echo, enjoys her company, and my cat always comes to greet her when I let her out of the crate in the morning.

In our trips out in the city, she's done everything in her power to get an A+ and a gold star. She mayyyyy try to sneak off for the occasional snuggle from an adoring stranger... but only sometimes. Which is understanable, because every new stranger she meets is adoring. She is extremely clever and picks up new commands quickly, and if she does ever make a mistake it's because she's overwhelmingly happy and excited. She's a highly sensitive dog who notices tiny changes, but she's quick to adjust and is extremely brave with new encounters. She'd do great in a small OR a big family, and I think she'd do well with any other animals.

Service Dog

Capability

5 out of 10

I'd say Charlotte has an average chance of success as a Service Dog. She is extremely smart, but she can also be a little spacey and definitely has a naughty streak. Leading her handler wouldn't come easy to her.

Therapy Dog

Capabilitly

8.5 out of 10

Charlotte loves people, but is also extremely brave and quick to adapt to new situations - She's also done VERY well out in public. She'd need a firm handler, but I think she could make an excellent Therapy Dog.

FAQs

When you work with breeders, are they ethical?

AbsolutELY! There are very few breeders that I vouch for, and I only work with ones I'm 100% confident in. I've already worked with several of their dogs, have been to their location, seen their home, met the other dogs on the premises, etc. This dog is guaranteed to come from a good and ethical home.

What do I need to have ready to take the dog?

Basically nothing! Of course, you'll want to make sure the space is dog-proofed, but the dog will come with a week's worth of food, a collar, a leash, a crate, and a few toys - so you won't need to have anything right away.

Do you ever work with rescues?

Sure do! I provide free training for adoptable dogs in my area, as well as providing discounted/special training to the rescues in my area who need it. My personal dog is also a rescue, and I'll never stop my work with them!

Are there payment plans?

A deposit of 50% will be due when you decide to move forward, but the last 50% won't be due until the dog comes to live with you.

I'll work with you when I can, but generally the whole adoption fee will be due when you recieve the dog.

What if I don't live in Indiana? Can I still get all the extra stuff?

Totally! Whatever you need to learn everything about your dog, we'll do. You'll also get private link to schedule a session with me at any time, to help you through any issues or to answer your questions!

What if I want to talk to you before committing?

I want to talk, too! Once you fill out the application, you'll get an automatic email with a link. You can use this link to schedule a free one-on-one with me to ask me any questions you'd like!
